To Grassroots,
It deserves to be assisted and has no direct influence. The Academic but technical dispute is major talking point.

Peace, Salaam, Shalom,

It's always good to hear that any cease-fire agreement has been reached, however fleetingly, between Hamas and Israel.
But the involvement of Egypt could leave a bitter taste in the Egyptian peoples mouth if the deal was brokered on the fact that Egypt has agreed to 'sell' the finite resources of Egyptian Natural Gas to Israel AT WELL BELOW International market prices. The secret meetings haven't even DISCLOSED what 'price' Egypt has sold its gas FOR???
Temporary peace in exchange for cheap Natural Gas for two Israeli towns(mainly)?
So,does that mean:
-that,as soon as Mubarak's ink is dry on the agreement and prisoners have been exchanged, the world is going to see more blood-shed between Hamas and Israel?
-that Palestinians in Gaza, after the lifting of the blockade, will have the temporary 'luxury' of re-stocking up their long-empty cupboards,or arsenals, with bassic life essentials or arms smuggled in across the border?
-That their children will manage to take AT LEAST one deep breath without having their homes demolished by bulldozers, whilst they are still IN THEM?
-That the Palestinians will have a SMALL taste of daily calm and civil liberty(relatively speaking of course)
Until, the Egyptian people protest(next week) about the GIVING AWAY of their Natural Gas to Israel at below international market prices, and ALL BETS AND 'DEALS' are off the table?
And,once again Hamas and Israel will begin AGAIN the daily barrage of Chinese Fire-cracker Qassam rockets against M-missiles,rocks against Abrams tanks, camera lenses versus Israeli sniper rifles???
The Israeli and Egyptian Governments may profit,BUT AGAIN,it's all the ordinary people who will lose out.
Unless Egypt is transparent about the clauses in the deal, with its population, the deal will fail and the circle will begin again!
Looks bad,for Egypt, internationally,if the deal is basically 'keep the gas cheap OR more Palestinians will die'. Bad economics and stinking politics!
Peace,Salaam,Shalom!
